JOYCE WILSON: HER "MISSION" TO TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH ABOUT ASPARTAME
The following is an interview with Joyce's husband, Richard. By Betty
Martini, Mission Possible, November 14, 1995
No words can describe the agony and horror my sweet Joyce endured. This
poison destroyed her brain, ravaged all her organs and blinded her. The
manufacturer considered her death an acceptable cost of business. I'm a
man without a wife because the NutraSweet Company is a business without a
conscience. Take dead serious the warnings you will hear. The life you
safe may be your own.
Joyce was a woman full of life, not overweight but wanting to stay slim.
When NutraSweet was approved she thought it was a diet product, not a
drug. She used diet drinks, Equal, Slimfast, sugarfree gum, etc. She
gained 35 lbs! I saw her go downhill and tried to get her off of it but
she said it wouldn't be on the market if it wasn't safe. She went to 34
doctors trying to find the answer but the truth was concealed with FDA
approval, she was consuming a deadly poison. One ophthalmologist saw the
nerve damage of the optic nerve and thought it was macular degeneration.
Joyce was going blind. No one knew the methanol (wood alcohol) in
aspartame converts to formaldehyde in the retina of the eye.
One day on TV she heard Shannon Roth, blinded in one eye by NutraSweet as
she explained her injuries. Joyce said: "That's me!" and called Shannon
and learned that NutraSweet is a deadly poison. Next Joyce saw the late
Dr. Morgan Raiford, the renowned ophthalmologist who founded the Atlanta
Eye Clinic, who was a specialist in methanol toxicity, having treated
moonshine victims during prohibition. He confirmed that Joyce, like
Shannon, who he had also diagnosed, was being blinded by NutraSweet.
Joyce had been wrongly diagnosed as having multiple sclerosis because the
doctors didn't know methanol toxicity mimics MS as it destroys the
nervous system. She suffered terrible headaches, hypertension and
tachycardia, rapid heart beats, all aspartame symptoms. And she began to
lose her memory. Joyce didn't want this to happen to anyone else. She
wrote to Senator Howard Metzenbaum (he had written the bill to put a
warning on NutraSweet, but it was not passed due to the power of the drug
company) and said on March 2, 1986: "I feel aspartame is the most
dangerous substance introduced for human consumption. Please stop this
product now before the toll n the health of Americans is disastrous. It
is too late for me, but I hope I can help others."
She did everything she could, organizing ASPARTAME VICTIMS AND THEIR
FRIENDS OF GEORGIA. She testified before Congress, she went on National
TV and spoke whenever she could. She had a hotline to help others.
Joyce and other victims met with the FDA who said they wouldn't approve
aspartame for any other products before a discussion with them. 36 hours
later they approved it in more products!
When Joyce went blind aspartame was only in a few hundred products, now
its in 5000 products and climbing. Millions are affected. Joyce kept
getting people off aspartame and took great satisfaction in watching
them return to normal health and useful lives, something she knew she
would never do. But it was her MISSION in life to get people to warn
others. In the beginning, since she had all the evidence she thought she
would get help from the Government, Congress and professionals that could
help, but she came to the realization that the pockets of the drug
company were too deep, and there was but one way to stop the death and
disability. That was, for the people themselves, to get involved. She
said if everyone would warn but one person a day it would get around the
world in no time. But she was saddened that it never happened. People
were happy to get well but the word just wasn't spread.
Joyce continued to warn with her last breath until she eventually became
like an Alzheimer victim with no memory (aspartame fries the brain), a
vegetable. In l991 Joyce lost her fight for life. I went back to
Daytona where we met and spread her ashes into the sea. In September
1994 our youngest son married and on her empty chair was a long stem
rose. Today I await the birth of our first grandchild who Joyce will
never know. The makers of her poison care not but use every strategy to
bury the truth, and eventually you, just like my Joyce.
The only way I can make any sense out of this is to see to it that my
lovely wife did not die in vain. So in her name, I ask everyone who
reads this to join the fight and tell the world aspartame is deadly poison.
Monsanto "funds" the American Diabetic Assn. and the American Dietetic
Assn., and lobbies Congress. FDA officials have found lucrative
employment in the Monsanto cam. This matter is in no court except the
court of the people. We the people with the sword of truth must behead
this monster.

sclerosis (MS) YOU HAVE ASPARTAME DISEASE! And if you don't get off
NutraSweet what happened to Joyce could well happen to you.
WE ASK ALL PEOPLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Spread the warning, make copies of our flyer as many as you can afford.
2. Take the NO ASPARTAME TEST and send us your case history with
permission to publish.
3. Take it BACK TO THE STORE! If its open they can't sell it!
4. Write and call everyone who will listen. Complain to the FDA, to
Congress, to the media, to organizations and anyone who will spread the
word to thousands.
We are continuing the MISSION of Joyce Wilson, If you see us
distributing flyers in our black berets they stand for mourning and
outcry for the sick and dying of aspartame. Many times our press packs
are garnished with a single rose in memory of this courageous woman.
PLEASE PASS THE TORCH OF KNOWLEDGE AROUND THE WORLD - so one day we will
brandish the torch aloft with the cry - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
There is no other way to say it - NutraSweet is a Neurotoxin - a deadly
poison!

This morning on my recorder was the tearful voice of Lee Fullerton. She
said: "If I had not read the article about Joyce I would not know why I
am going blind and dying. My symptoms are identical. No doctor knew why
I was having seizures or why I have the tachycardia and other MS symptoms
like Joyce. Please help me to live long enough to warn others."
If Joyce had not heard Shannon's story she would not have known either.
There are many Joyce Wilson's out there with vision problems they cannot
explain - and many like Lee Fullerton. We just pray its not too late to
save Lee.
So I decided to put this story on the net in the hope that you people in
the vision newsgroup will start the New Year out by cleaning your house
of aspartame. Remember Joyce and her Mission and warn others. Like she
said, if you just warn one person a day it will get around the world.
Richard provided me with Joyce's records. In it was the Secret Trade
Information. Ya'll find it under THEY KNEW on our auto-responder. They
admitted that DKP is a breakdown product but if they told the FDA they
couldn't get it approved. DKP is a brain tumor agent and now doctors are
saying brain tumors removed are composed of aspartame. The rats in the
original studies got brain tumors. The late Dr. Adrian Gross, FDA
Toxicologist, told Congress that aspartame violated the Delaney Amendment
because it produces cancer, and beyond a shadow of a doubt, brain tumors.
His last words will never be forgotten: "And if the FDA violates its own
laws who will protect the people?" The current Saturday Evening Post has
an article on escalating brain cancer!
I recently lectured at the World Environmental Conference who confirmed
the epidemic of multiple sclerosis which in reality is methanol toxicity.
Report on the responder. This is a major plague.

year we can get this poison removed from our food supply, and the
volunteers of Mission Possible can go back to their normal lives knowing
