Dr. Gaylord, a champion of truth, explains to Betty Martini, 30 March 1999: "Betty, I just talked with EPA's Media Relatiaons Office and the reason they are not carrying information about the 1995 conference is as follows: The 1995 World Environmental Conference was funded through my former office, the Office of Environmental Justice, as a grant to Elizabeth City State University. As a grant funded conference it is not considered as an official EPA sanctioned event - in other words, EPA as an agency does not stand behind the positions/comments made at the conference. ...Thus, my statement about the "epidemic of MS and lupus and not being able to identify the toxins" was made from observations and impressions given to me from various communities across the country and not grounded in any kind of scientific study. There, fore, the agency cannot acknowledge my "impressions" as official EPA position." Dr. Gaylord's recognition of the aspartame epidemic was based on field reports from across the nation, but until EPA applies an "Epidemic" label it's not official. In other words: it ain't what it is, it's what you call it! Martini stood up and answered: "Dr. Gaylord, I'm Betty Martini, of Mission Possible, and I'm here to lecture on MS and Lupus and identify the toxin as NutraSweet." Betty's lecture was packed out, with many in the prestigious audience interrupting: 'I've got those symptoms, It's happening to me!" EPA's response to consumer and press inquiries about this conference has been employed for centuries by the three monkeys: "we could not find any information about an EPA keynote address at a World Environmental Conference". Total ignorance! Barbara Metzler contacted EPA on February 25 and they denied there ever was a World Environmental Conference and referred her to an aspartame- promoting foundation which would certainly give misinformation; the MS Foundation which gave out diet Coke at their Atlanta Walk-a-thon, an event likely funded by Coke/NutraSweet. Finally satisfied at last that Dr. Gaylord had indeed identified an epidemic, EPA told the Doctor their Media Relations Office would handle it with the press. They did so with lies: About the conference About Dr. Gaylord's statement About Mrs. Martini's appearance at the conference as an invited lecturer Martini requested Dr. Gaylord to ask EPA if they had any problem with simply telling the truth to consumers and the media, rather than saying they knew nothing of the event. No reaction, so again Dr. Gaylord prodded EPA to tell the truth, acknowledge the conference and admit Martini spoke there. When EPA stonewalled Dr. Gaylord graciously gave permission to post her correspondence, which follows. For years our government has not come clean on the aspartame issue. FDA continues to assure us of its safety when the FDA audit of the studies used to get approval, the Bressler Report, shows aspartame triggers testicular atrophy, grand mal seizures, brain, pancreatic, mammary, uterine, ovarian tumors and other horrors. CDC did a damning invesetigation, then added a summary that contradicted the body of the report. FDA and CDC gave disclaimers to CNN which denials were picked up by the press around the world, including AP and Time Magazine. Travesty! EPA is a federal agency in blatant denial of the truth, and of your health interests as American citizens. The deadly toxin, aspartame/NutraSweet has provoked more consumer complaints than any other food additive and FDA published a list of 92 symptoms including death from this poison. FDA, EPA, CDC are selling out the health and lives of all Americans to protect greedy, murderous Monsanto's profits. Betty Martini identified a poison producing a world plague. CDC, FDA and EPA want nothing to do with the mountain of evidence, thousands of case histories, tens of thousands of victim complaints, voluminous medical and congressional testimony and an avalanche of afflictions. Who will save us? This is a people to people crusade, and you must save yourself! Dear Dr. Gaylord: I asked someone to email the EPA and give the actual facts (as you see at the very end) to see what they are saying to the public. As you see, they act like they know nothing when they do. I think that is why they have told you to allow them to respond. How do we get them to give out the true facts instead?
