medievals
adjective
2 Novels about the Middle Ages, the Dark Ages, Dark-Age; or Gothic eras, which focus on a time that, at its darkest core, is a wellspring of romantic possibilities and noble beginnings.
Anyone who reads or writes medievals does so because they love the era, and, I believe it’s because we’re inspired by the romance at its coeur. In a time that, by all modern standards, we can only describe as barbaric, chivalry is born, the seeds of democracy are reborn, and the future, imbued with great, new possibilities, shines as bright as the former ages were dark. The Medieval Chronicle is a tiny leadened window into that era, and through the eyes of its publisher, and the writers who lend their pens to its pages, we can look back to see where hope was conceived, where character was forged and where the future was envisioned.
Welcome to the Web Medieval Chronicle. May the candle in your window grow brighter each day and shine a lamplight into a long, but not forgotten world.
Publisher Linda Abel asked me to reintroduce readers to the medieval castle in her October Issue of The Medieval Chronicle. It was my pleasure, Linda.
