I am writing to object to the blanket approval of aspartame (marketed as
NutraStreet, Equal, Spoonful and no telling what since the patent
expired). I further object to it being on the market in the first place.
As millions of men, women and children, the sick and the elderly
distribute warning flyers all over this globe to save his fellow man,
here's the FDA approving it in all food, drug and drink. That means the
consumer public has no alternative but to boycott the grocery store. This
is an abomination!
As to objecting in number form with respect to the provisions, its almost
a moot point. NutraSweet is a poison and the story of the politics and
testing of aspartame would fill many books. You only need one objection
to ban it - the fact that it is not safe and has never been proven to be
safe. The original studies by the manufacturer were the target of an
indictment for fraud that was never carried out. The very same studies
ended by approving aspartame.
1. Aspartame is not safe and was never proved to be. The late Dr. Adrian
Gross, FDA toxicologist, wrote to Senator Howard Metzenbaum some years
ago and let him know aspartame was tested by comedians. He said:
"The views of the FDA's Center for Food Safety read like a
script written for Abbott & Costello in the sense of their
having perceptions inside-out and upside-down. ..329 fetuses
were examined in 2 days by a single person (a clear impossibility).
2. In l976 FDA Commissioner Dr. Alexander Schmidt publicly stated that
FDA could not rely on Searle's studies. Dr. Gross told Senator
Metzenbaum why!
"We have uncovered serious deficiencies in Searle's operation and
practices which undermined the basis for reliance on Searle's
integrity ... Searle has not submitted all the facts or experiments
to FDA, retaining unto itself the unpermitted option of filtering,
interpreting and not submitting information ... an attitude of
disregard for FDA's mission of protection of the public health ..
conduct which compromises the scientific integrity of the studies."
14 test blunders are listed, including:
Substitution of animals (hiding deaths)
Using sick animals on drugs (unreported)
Incomplete examination, unreported tumors
Missing batch records
Mixing food so rats in the test could avoid the product
Destroying rats before they could be fully analyzed
3. I object to the sloppy, incomplete, doctored and fradulent "tests,"
putting this toxin on the market to contaminate our food supply!
You may say, this was a long time ago - but it was these same tests
that ended up approving aspartame! Dr. Gross continued:
"It seems bizarre that essentially the same set of studies could
provide a foundation for a decision that ... demonstrated the
safety of aspartame ... Although the General Accounting Office
expresses the view that FDA followed its required process, I
sharply disagree ... although FDA may have gone through the motions
such a "process" or dance represented no more than a farce and a
mockery."
Abbott & Costello played Malice in Blunderland - and its no comedy!
4. I object to the fact that aspartame is called a food additive when
in reality it is a drug and should require safety monitoring.
Furthermore, it is a deadly drug, a poison (see attached) and inter-
acts with other drugs, and changes the brain chemistry. It changes
the dopamine level of the brain and there is no warning for a Parkinson
patient which it could easily kill. Thats how I found out about it in
the first place when a Parkinson patient almost died. We got him off
just in time - actually pulling him from the jaws of death!
These problems are outlined in Senator Metzenbaum's bill, 99th Congress,
1st Session - S 1557, August 1, l985. Page 5 outlines the above and
adds behavioral and neurological effects, the health effects on pregnant
women and fetuses and the increasing probability of seizures. Senator
Metzenbaum wanted independent testing on these problems by NIH because
of the original Malice in Blunderland testing. But the manufacturer
with heavy lobbying and Senator Orrin Hatch made sure it never got out
of committee.
POINT: ASPARTAME HAS NEVER BEEN PROVEN TO BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!! The
manufacturer didn't want independent testing because they knew what to
expect, didn't they? Perhaps thats why when Dr. Ralph Walton
decided to do a study NutraSweet refused to sell him the aspartame.
(Monsanto bought Searle in l985). Dr. Walton got the aspartame and
what the manufacturer must have known would happen actually did. One
person started bleeding from the eyes (conjunctival bleeding, another
got a retinal detachment and patients began to claim they were being
poisoned - they were. The study had to be stopped!
The manufacturer will only accept studies they pay for when they can
get researchers to say its safe! So you might as well throw out
anything they are party to. Example: Dr. Diana Dow-Edwards was
asked by NutraSweet to do a study with regard to birth defects.
The results were disastrous!!! So NutraSweet withdrew their funding
and refused to accept the results of the studies and neither would
the FDA, their siamese twin! There is such an incestuous relationship
between them they must play musical beds for sport!
5. I object to DISEASE and DEATH being considered an acceptable cost
of business. I really object to death which the FDA conveniently
lists in their complaint file of 92 symptoms including blindness,
four types of seizures, convulsions, coma - and death. I guess its
the ultimate symptom! The FDA calls these anecdotes! See the
story of Joyce Wilson who went blind and died from NutraSweet. What
should her death certificate have read - how about MURDERED BY A
NUTRASWEET ANECDOTE! People were dying when it was in a few hundred
products - now the FDA would like to contaminate everything in the
grocery store! I definitely object.
6. I object to birth defects and the murdering of the babies in their
mother's womb by this poison. And if they survive, I also object
to mental retardation which can occur because of the phenylalanine
concentrating in the placenta. Dr. Louis Elsas, Pediatric Professor,
Emory University (genetics) testified before Congress that aspartame
is a known teratogen (causes birth defects) and neurotoxin. Dr.
H. J. Roberts in his position paper on aspartame and pregnancy said
even a man consuming aspartame at the time of conception can cause
birth defects in his child.
I could go on for pages and pages, I guess the reason books continue to
be written on the atrocity of aspartame approval. Its now causing a
worldwide epidemic and even the EPA (Dr. Clarice Gaylord) has announced
an epidemic of MS, but it's methanol toxicity from aspartame which
mimics MS!
I even object to having to object because this situation should never have
existed in the first place. U.S. Attorney Sam Skinner was asked to
indict Searle for fraud - you know the aspartame testing comedy. Doing
things like resurrecting dead rats on paper (Bressler Study). But Sammy
decided to go to work for the law firm defending the case instead and let
slip the hounds of disease and death on an unwarned population. Yes,
indeed, the District Attorney went to work for the Godfather! Oh, and
Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes who over-ruled a Board of Inquiry to approve
aspartame - he went to work for the manufacturer's PR firm - an FDA
Commissioner! Sort of like an art director going to work for a pig farm!
I mostly object to having to buy so many Kleenex as agitated and
hysterical mothers call about their babies having seizures, pregnant
women losing their babies, people going blind and for those who weep over
the nightmare they live, never realizing they have been poisoned! I weep
for the sick and dying.
At the expense of our safety a system now exists where FDA works for
industry, not the American people. And because this toxin is now in over
90 counties of the world the effort to rid the planet of aspartame has
reached the ends of the earth. A journalist in Austria has filed
criminal charges against his country for allowing it in. An ophthalmic
surgeon in India has notified parliament, hospitals and organizations all
over India. And people everywhere continue to translate our warning
bulletin into different languages and set up Mission Possible to assist
the people of their country.
And as worldwide efforts continue to ban this poison, the FDA is busy
putting more in the marketplace. One of the greatest known crimes in the
history of the world was genocide under Hitler. Today in Washington the
Holocaust Museum stands as a grim reminder of the horror. And in Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida is now the FDA HOLOCAUST MUSEUM. Here you read of the
poisons approved by the FDA and their escapades of persecuting those who
would dare to cause good health with vitamins or natural cures given to us
by Almighty God in Gen 1:29. Allow poisons but don't dare use vitamins and
herbs. Outlaw the safe Stevia leaf as a sweetener but approve the deadly
poison, aspartame. Years it took to finally get Stevia approved just as
a dietary supplement.
Probably Dr. James Bowen's statement to the FDA on aspartame written in
the 80's should be engraved in the door. For he said "this (aspartame)
has resulted in the mass poisoning of the American public as well as
seventy-plus countries in the rest of the world....Every known metabolite
of aspartame is of marked or questionable toxicity and patently unsafe
for human use. Methyl alcohol is metabolized to nascent formaladehyde in
the eye, nervous system and other metabolically active organs. .. There
is the issue of the approval of aspartame for market, which has violated
every principle of responsible science and responsible government. ....
The only responsible action would be to immediately take aspartame off
the market, fully disclose its toxicities, offer full compensation to the
injured, public and criminally prosecute anyone who participated in the
fradulent placement of aspartame on the market..."
I concur - everybody responsible for the approval of this poison should
be indicted for crimes against humanity - genocide. The approval of
aspartame is the greatest atrocity ever committed in the history of the
FDA!
And if this further assault is allowed how shall we label the tombstones
- what about holocaust victim of the FDA!?
Objection, objection, objection! And Richard Wilson of Stockbridge said
to tell you he also objects - he objects to sprinkling the ashes of his
wife who went blind and died from aspartame into the ocean. He objects
to putting a long stem rose on the empty chair his wife should have used
when their son was married. He objects that Joyce is not here today to
see her first grandchild. And the volunteers of Mission Possible object
to the fact that they have to do the job the Government should have done
long ago. We would all like to go back to our lives but cannot do so
until this genocide stops! What will you do?
