Aviation Section (10Kb)
For over four years Mission Possible has concentrated on a growing number of areas concerning the substance called aspartame. During 1996 the TV program Hardcopy featured two pilots who came forward and told their stories of having seizures while piloting commercial aircraft. Those were seizures that had ruined their careers and cost them their means of livelhhood. Seizures and flying don't mix well. However, despite the fact that aspartame was the cause of those seizures and the cause was eliminated, the fact that a specified pilot DID have a seizure was all that matters. The TV program Hardcopy aired two segments on this subject in late October of 1996, and again in late December, 1996. Over the past several months, as the truth about the toxicity of aspartame becomes better known by the aviation oriented population, more and more case histories are coming to light. Should any who read these articles be a pilot, or know of a pilot who has been affected by aspartame consumption in the course of flying duties, please ask them to contact Betty Martini (address below). All reports will be kept in the strictest of confidence.
